This is our second time working with this gorgeous family it’s amazing seeing what 1 year transformation it is from newborn to toddler plus sibling photos are my favorite. We always have so much fun, meeting new clients and capturing such gorgeous memories for them! On this day the weather surprised us and we were all kind of cold. I brought a blanket prop and it ended up being cover to warm up. Baby wasn’t happy with drop in temperature, he wasn’t very comfortable at first but his parents were not expecting smiles only lol it’s about capturing his adorable personality anyway. We got the cutest face expressions and amazing moments. I smile every time I edit, best job for 11+ years, so thankful.

What happens when clients can’t reschedule maternity photoshoot due to weather during rainy summer season? In this case we decided to start early to miss the rain but instead it started pouring when we got to location so we started with portraits at home and hoped for some rain free hours before sunset. It happened! The crazy clouds disappeared and we drove to closest park, the location was small park with playground but looks like we were somewhere in nature woods right? It was sooooo humid and the bugs were crazy after rain but omg the gallery is gorgeous! Never worry, just enjoy your session, we won’t let you leave unless we got the best results. Also we bring up to 3 maternity gowns making it so much easier to plan your session.

It was crazy windy, which sometimes can be distracting but it adds movement and character to photos so if your photo shoot happens to be on a windy day just enjoy the process and results will be magical. This gorgeous family was so easy to work with, we had so much fun! Mom loves photography and has a great blog with beautiful photos www.journeefullife.com Beach wasn’t the ideal location for this family but I found spot with cool rocks and we agreed to try that. The weather at the beach is never the same, ocean was angry, wind was crazy but it adds so much character to photos. It's a challenge keeping hair out of the way and throwing fabric on our popular maternity gowns however I love windy days for all the movement. I think the rest of the story is in the photos, so thankful for clients that choose us and trust my vision.

We captured this family’s gorgeous maternity and now their little princess. Mom picked pink and green, we added some baby blue too and the gallery is adorable! She slept through the whole session, we have been so lucky with all the sleepy newborns. You can’t tell by looking at photos but this is all done on location, at clients home. Yes we make it so convenient and bring the studio to you! Sibling photo is the cutest, she looks so tiny next to proud, big brother.

This is our 4th session with this gorgeous family, I think they are all professional models well baby Charlotte is for a fact but they are also the sweetest and we love spending time with them. This was one of the funniest sessions because of donut smash! Valerie got the donut set up and it’s the cutest thing ever! Baby tried the donuts, cake and played with milk, she wasn’t afraid of getting covered in sprinkles and frosting, big success! We also did the family part outside in their neighborhood, gorgeous views there and included the doggies in Holiday photos! Enjoy, I am oversharing.

This little beauty is 2 months old and we decided that family session would work best for this age but the goal was to also get some posed/newborn photos if baby was up to it. The reason why a 2 month old would not do well with full newborn session is because they simply grow out of the stage when they are sleepy all the time. When we started the session it looked like baby was ready for a nap so we swaddled her and ended up using all the set ups I brought! She did so well sleeping through posed part and I love her gallery! At the end, when I unswaddled her she was rested and happy so we got a gorgeous smile!

We recently made a decision to bring our newborn studio to clients for convenience and for variety. I've always loved setting up for newborn shoots but something was always missing in the studio for me. When it comes to family portraits my style is natural and unposed, this was hard to achieve in studio and is much easier in the comfort of client's home. Neutrals are so great for baby photography, once you turn a photo into big print or canvas these colors will look great with any decor. All of our newborn shoots are now done at clients home so you don't have to leave the house. We did sibling portraits and I loved the matching outfits!
